  • Luc Filiatreault President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Filiatreault is a successful serial entrepreneur. He has successfully founded and led eight different enterprises. Seven of these companies were in Software Technologies and one was in Aerospace Technology. Four of these companies were publicly traded on the TSX.

In September of 2019, Mr. Filatreault was appointed President & CEO of mdf commerce with the mandate of accelerating the company’s growth and leading an ambitious strategic reorientation.

From June 2017 to June 2019, Mr Filiatreault was CEO of Ayuda Media Systems. Ayuda develops and commercializes a software platform that is an ERP system specialized for Out of Home Media Companies such as Outfront, Stroer, Astral, Clear Channel etc. In less than 18 months Ayuda more than doubled its staff and its customers and has reached 100 staff. Ayuda has customers in 25 countries and operates from offices in Montreal, Berlin and Sydney. Ayuda was acquired by Broadsign International in April 2019.

From September 2016 to September 2017, he worked as a senior consultant at Inno-Centre where he coaches various companies in obtaining financing and implementing accelerated growth strategies. He namely works with: Lanla, Wizper, Baton Simulations, Kronos Technologies, Akiosoft, Carillon, Constellio, Fresche Legacy, ITES Media. Six of these companies obtained important investments that were instrumental in executing their growth strategies.

From January 2012 to August 2016 he worked with the OpenText Enterprise Apps Fund (OTEAF). OTEAF invests in software companies that develop products that complete the OpenText ecosystem of solutions. OpenText is the largest Canadian software Company (TSX : OTC) with approximately 10 B CAD$ market cap.

In January 2011, he joined Neuralitic Systems as CEO. Neuralitic is a private Venture Capital backed software company specializing in Mobile Data Intelligence. Neuralitic was acquired in December 2012 by Guavus a California based telecommunications company.

From 2007 to 2010, Mr. Filiatreault was CEO of Nstein Technology a publicly traded company which had operations in Canada, USA, UK and France. Nstein developed and commercialized semantic analysis software. It was acquired by OpenText in April 2010.

Prior to this, Mr. Filiatreault was CEO of PG Mensys Information Systems which specialized in Municipal Software Solutions sold across North America. PG was acquired in March 2007 by Harris Computer a division of Constellation Software. In 2002 Mr. Filiatreault founded NordTech Aerospace, a publicly traded company that did Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) of commercial aircraft. From 2000 to 2002 Mr. Filiatreault was President of BellZinc a Bell Canada division that operated the largest internet portal for small and medium businesses in Canada.

He was a co-founder of Informission Group where he occupied multiple management roles from 1988 to 2000. The revenues of Informission exceeded 100M$ when it was acquired by Quebecor in 2000.

In 2005 Mr. Filiatreault received the prestigious « Top 40 under 40 Award » from The Globe and Mail of Toronto. In 2010 he was recognized by his peers of the Québec Technology Association and was named Personality of the Year in Information Technology in Québec.

He is part of numerous Board of Directors of private and public companies and also helps different charity organizations such as United Way, Hope Air and Make-a-Wish.

From 2010 to 2016, he was the chairman of the board of the Make-a-Wish (Québec) foundation which accomplishes more than 60 wishes per year for children who suffer from a life threatening disease.

Mr. Filiatreault graduated in Engineering Physics in 1987 at Laval University. He is the father of 5 children.
