Mediagrif encourages Agile methods
On November 28, 2019, several members of the Mediagrif team attended the 11th edition of the Agile Tour Montréal, which was taking place at the Palais des Congrès. A number of colleagues also participated in a full-day Agile training on December 10 at our Longueuil office.
At the Agile Tour Montréal, our colleagues had the opportunity to attend many highly-interesting conferences. They particularly appreciated the keynote speaker Frédérc Leguédois who questioned estimation methods as well as the conference given by Ludo Bruyere et Éric Boivin who suggested that playing board games at work helped with living the Agile values. Another key takeaway was that Agile methods don’t necessarily work in every context or field and that we need to think differently to improve our productivity.
During their refresher training, our colleagues learned and put into practice Agile product management techniques (story mapping, user story) in order to better respond to our users’ needs. Many thanks to Isabelle Therrien of Agile Partnership for helping us to become even more Agile!
Most Mediagrif teams have been working with Agile methods for about two years. These methods have allowed us to increase our efficiency, to improve collaboration and to prioritize our projects. We intend to continue on this path and to keep learning from discussions with the Agile community in order to continuously improve our processes.
